THE ARTIST PROJECT: Rona Pondick on Egyptian Sculpture Fragments

“I look at the fractures as though they were intentionally made that way.” Throughout her New York City childhood, sculptor Rona Pondick spent many hours wandering the Egyptian sculpture galleries. As an artist who has incorporated the human form in her own work for more than 30 years, Pondick considers the influence these ancient shards had upon her own practice. This video was produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
