Francesco Vezzoli at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art
A year after his iconic performance with Lady Gaga at MoCA’s 30th Anniversary Gala in 2009, Italian artist and filmmaker Francesco Vezzoli mounted an exhibition and reenactment of the performance at Garage in Moscow. The performance, which drew inspiration from the Ballet Russes and the Surrealist artist Giorgio de Chirico, was an elaborate combination of video, petit-point embroidery, photography and live performance. This video was produced by the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.
